She sent me the demo with the title Once in a Blue Moon, and I thought we’d immortalize Mz. Blue in this title, and add a little light as well.

The vocals you hear from Melissa Kaplan were originally done with her just jamming to the track, completely ad lib. It was (and is) SO good, that we refined it over the months to what you hear today.

I think we captured the intensity of her performance, and then some!
